Toni Russi

«I am a passionate tax advisor and notary public. I have been looking after concession issues (Konzessionsrecht) in the electricity industry since my dissertation/PhD – sucessfully bridging the fields of contract and tax law.»

After his studies in economics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Toni Russi worked as an audit assistant for a large American audit firm. During his second degree (legal studies) at the University of Zurich, he worked as a part-time employee of a tax consulting and fiduciary office for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). In the course of his subsequent part-time job in St. Moritz as trainee attorney and notary, he completed the Grisons bar exam as well as the notary public exam. He wrote his dissertation/PhD on the subject of “Profit shifting challenges – especially in partner plants of the electricity industry, and the question of special taxation”. From 1978-1991 Toni Russi was employed by the Grisons (Graubünden) Cantonal Tax Authority (initially as Head of the Legal Department; subsequently as Head of the Cantonal Tax Authority). Following his entrepreneurial mindset, in 1991, he started his own business with DR. RUSSI & PARTNER.
